WAMBLI SOARS! is the Division of Indian Work’s annual fundraiser (formerly known as LEAP!)
Enjoy a delicious Native feast catered by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Community Sioux catering service. Hosted by local favorite, Don Shelby, the evening’s exciting program includes a Native dancing demonstration and remarks by MN State Senator Mary Kunesh and DIW’s Executive Director Louise Matson. You’ll also have an opportunity to participate in a Native Round Dance!
There will be an exciting Live Auction and Fund A Need, led by Fladeboe Auctions. The lobby will be filled with participatory Native games, select items from our online Silent Auction, and information tables where you can learn more about DIW programs.

Community Education Forum
Pregnant families and families with young children are invited to join the Birth Justice Collaborative (BJC) and the Birth Equity Community Council (BECC) for a Dinner & Community Education Forum. You'll learn about prenatal and doula care supports, healthcare access and protections, Minnesota's new Child Tax Credit, pregnancy and workforce protections and Sick Leave, childcare and early learning resources, breastfeeding support and more. Registered attendees will receive a $25 Gift Card. Dinner will be provided and children are welcome to attend with caretakers.
The forum on April 4th will take place at DIW. You can register below, as well as see other forum nights they offer in March!

Indigenous Health: Māori Perspectives
You are invited to join us for a special presentation by Dr. Ihirangi Heke, renowned Māori health and physical education researcher. Dr. Heke is a globally recognized expert on Indigenous health who developed the Atua Matua Health Framework, a strengths-based approach that uses traditional Māori environmental knowledge to understand health from an Indigenous perspective.

Remember Our Loved Ones
Please join in remembering ALL people who have been lost to opioids or alcohol, people of every race, culture, or class. We want to break the stigma and share that the loved ones we have lost are real people.
If you have lost a loved one to opioids or alcohol, we invite you to share their name and photo to be included in a memorial to continue healing and inspire legislative action.
This memorial is a place to share our stories and to connect with each other. By coming together we will send the message that this is a real health crisis that demands action.
Deadline for sharing photos is April 14.
