DIW’s elders programming provides a variety of services for the elders in our community.

Widows Group
A component of DIW’s Elders Resources Program, the Widow’s Circle Support Group meets regularly and provides emotional, mental, and spiritual support for those grieving a loss.

Social, Food, & Transportation
Provides American Indian elders with the support they need to maintain their health and wellness. Services include transportation for elders with mobility issues, access to nutritious food and other commodities, connections to community through social events, support during difficult times, and assistance with applying for or accessing other community resources.

Grandparents as Caregivers
DIW’s Grandparents Caring for Grandchildren program provides support and resources to grandparents who have taken on the role of primary caregiver of a child/ren not more than 18 years of age
